The Mountaineer GigaSystem™ is a lifecycle carbon neutral clean hydrogen facility and renewable microgrid designed to produce over 640 metric tons per day (“MTPD”), per train in Mason County, West Virginia utilizing Fidelis’ patented FidelisH2® technologies combined with carbon capture utilization and sequestration (“CCUS”) for carbon neutral hyperscale data centers and greenhouses that lowers the cost and environmental impact of food production.
Mountaineer is a participant in the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub or “ARCH2,” a regional clean hydrogen hub formed to support the “commercial lift-off” of a full value Hydrogen Hub across communities in the Northern Appalachian region. ARCH2 brings together private industry, state and local government, academic and technology institutions, NGOs, and communities in support of the goals of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act for a national clean hydrogen network being advanced by the United States Department of Energy.
