Biography

John Plumlee is an Executive, Entrepreneur, Investor, and Advisor with more than 30 years of experience in development, engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations for critical assets and infrastructure globally. John is the former Chief Project Officer of Fidelis New Energy, which he joined immediately after its founding. In his role as head of the project management organization, John developed key operational processes within Fidelis, negotiated key contracts with suppliers and engineering service firms, and spearheaded optimizations in our project design and strategy. John is the former Chief Operating Officer of Allied Power, a utility services company, which he co-founded while working as an operating partner at Bernhard Capital Partners.  Allied is now part of Charah Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: CHRA) a leading provider of mission-critical environmental and maintenance services to the power generation industry.  Previously, John was President of the Electrical Division of PowerTeam Services and CEO of T&D Solutions. Prior to this appointment, he served as CEO and member of the Board at Sunora Energy Solutions an NRG company.  Earlier, he held the position of President of Dynamic’s Industrial and Infrastructure business unit, Vice President of US Operations and Maintenance at Jacobs Engineering and Chief of Operations for the Shaw Group’s Capital Services Segment. His prior experience also includes general management roles, consulting and entrepreneurial ventures spanning start-ups to Fortune 500 companies across development and finance, engineering, construction and maintenance services, consulting, and technology. The industries served by these businesses have primarily included power generation (nuclear, fossil & renewable), energy and telecom infrastructure, refining, chemicals, mining, discrete and high-tech manufacturing as well as public and private infrastructure.  John holds bachelor and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and spent his early career deeply engaged in project delivery. John is a business builder, innovator and thought leader in the development and application of advanced technologies, new business models and streamlined processes for businesses engaged in development, engineering, construction, maintenance and operations. John is passionate about the “triple bottom line” and looks for opportunities to advance sustainability, diversity/inclusion and economic returns. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer and certified Project Management Professional (PMP©), with hands-on project, program, and business management experience as a manager, executive, and entrepreneur working with major A/E firms, service providers, investors and directly for well-known owner/operators.
