Katy Gottsponer has over two decades experience in the energy infrastructure industry. As a partner in a major U.S. law firm, she advised clients in connection with the development, investment, financing, and refinancing of major energy infrastructure projects. These projects include power generation and transmission (including renewable energy projects, conventional power generation, and battery storage), midstream natural gas transportation and storage projects, petrochemical facilities, LNG liquefaction, regasification and storage facilities, and LNG-to-power projects. A pragmatic and collaborative advisor, she has worked with management teams of private equity investors, global asset managers, infrastructure funds, commercial banks, development finance institutions, multilaterals, and export credit agencies to evaluate and structure financeable energy infrastructure projects throughout the U.S. and Latin America. Katy has particular experience advising sponsors and borrowers in connection with complex international project financing transactions, including projects that provide a significant development impact in the region. Katy has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center where she teaches Project Development and Finance.
