Tim Barfield is a shareholder and the President of CSRS, Inc., which he joined in 2016. He brings his extensive business, governmental, legal, and financial expertise to lead the firm and help develop the firm’s next generation of leaders. Prior to CSRS, Mr. Barfield served as the Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Revenue, which handled over $9 billion of annual gross cash collections. Previously, he served as the Office of the Governor’s Executive Counsel and the Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Executive Director, where he led the reform of the State of Louisiana’s workforce development system and its transformation into a modern workforce agency. Before working in the public sector, Mr. Barfield served for over 12 years as an executive at The Shaw Group, Inc. (acquired by CB&I in 2013). Shaw provided engineering, construction, maintenance, technology, fabrication, remediation, and support services for clients in the energy, chemical, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response industries, as well as federal, state, and local government. Mr. Barfield’s roles included President and Chief Operating Officer for the then publicly-traded, Fortune 500 firm with over 22,000 employees and operations in 180 locations across the world, as well as President of Shaw’s Environmental & Infrastructure Division, Senior Vice President in charge of mergers and acquisitions and strategic initiatives, Managing Director of Shaw U.K. Limited, and Shaw’s Secretary and General Counsel. Mr. Barfield also served as the Chief Development Officer for Amedisys, Inc., a leading home health and hospice company. Currently, Mr. Barfield serves as a board member for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, the Foundation for East Baton Rouge Parish Schools and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Foundation.
