Jack Calhoun has over 34 years of experience in the production of chemicals and Oil and Gas. Beginning as an environmental engineer in refinery wastewater treatment for Hunt Refining, he has spent his career in the Health, Safety, and Environmental discipline both working on and managing efforts to develop and provide solutions for improving operational efficiency and environmental performance in a diverse range of production processes and throughout the world. Upon receiving a degree in Chemical Engineering, Jack went to work for Occidental Chemical Corporation where he worked as a process and environmental engineer for several divisions and plants including electrochemicals, plastics, and petrochemicals. After 8 years in chemicals production, he joined the oil and gas division of Occidental Petroleum Corporation where he worked for 22 years in multiple locations throughout the United States and internationally, increasing in responsibilities to attain the Director of Systems and corporate Entities where he managed the safety programs for all corporate structures and was responsible for the construction and deployment of a comprehensive electronic HSE system including all safety and environmental aspects of the company. Mr. Calhoun is a licensed Environmental Engineer and a Certified Safety Professional and holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.
