Kevin C. Clement has over thirty-nine years of energy industry experience across midstream and infrastructure market sectors in refined products, natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil, asphalt, residual fuels, internal consulting and municipal leases/public finance. In 2016 Mr. Clement founded Lorica Energy, LLC as Managing Director and currently provides consulting services in the energy sector. Prior to Lorica Energy, Mr. Clement held industry roles including President Midstream and Executive Vice President of SandRidge Energy, Vice President of SemGroup Operating G.P., L.L.C., President of SemStream, L.P., President of SemGas, L.P., President and Chief Operating Officer of SemMaterials, L.P. Mr. Clement began his career at Koch Industries where he served over 23 year holding various officer positions in natural gas liquids, refined products, asphalt/materials and finance divisions. Kevin has actively participated in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across public and private transactions for both C-corporations and MLP’s in excess of $5 billion dollars across his career.
Clement currently advises and sits on four private equity backed midstream venture boards:
- Independent Director – Steel Reef Infrastructure Corp. in May 2020. Steel Reef is a Calgary Canada based Midstream company engaged in gas gathering, processing and transportation in Canada and U.S. gas basins.
- Advisory Board Chairman – Jet Infrastructure, LLC. Jet Infra is a portfolio company of InstarAGF, a Toronto Ontario based infrastructure fund. Jet Infrastructure specializes in last mile infrastructure needs in the aviation sector.
- Non-executive Director – Superior Pipeline Company for Partners Group on behalf of their equity interest. Superior Pipeline is a gathering and processing midstream subsidiary of Unit Corporation (NYSE ticker UNT) that is jointly owned by Unit, Partners Group and OP Trust.
- Director- Arcanum Chemical. Project Raven as Partners Group’s outside non-executive director. Project Raven is a fit for purpose Butene-1 chemical plant in Baytown Tx. Raven’s plant capacity is fully contracted under a tolling structure with all credit rated petrochemical counterparties.
In addition to the current board activity, Kevin previously had served on the Board of NGL Energy Partners (ticker NGL) 2011- 2014. In his consulting capacity, Kevin has had the opportunity to advise in most hydrocarbon production areas of the United States such as the Permian, Eagle Ford, Mid-continent, DJ, Bakken, and Marcellus basins in addition international areas of the North Sea, Germany, and Norway.
