Prior to joining Fidelis New Energy, Lars Bo Christiansen was the Project Director Deputy and Spokesperson for the Tyra Redevelopment Project in Denmark, an initiative aimed at re-establishing Denmark as a net exporter of gas. Lars led parts of the project through significant challenges, including delays due to COVID-19 and the European energy crisis, and managed key stakeholders such as the Danish State Authorities, Joint Venture Partners, and the press.
Following his role in the Tyra Redevelopment Project, Lars was appointed Project Director for the Danish North Sea Energy Island, the planned largest infrastructure project in Danish history with an estimated total CAPEX of $30 billion. In this role, Lars reviewed the energy island concept design and tender material, evaluated project economics, and made strategic recommendations on path forward.
Before these major projects, Lars held various leadership positions at Maersk Oil and TotalEnergies, where he led subsurface developments, supervised drilling operations, and developed strategy and business development plans. Lars was instrumental in delivering the first Master Development Plan for the Danish North Sea, which made the foundation for the North Sea agreement of 2017.
Lars began his career as a Well Site Engineer, supervising drilling operations offshore Denmark and Qatar. He progressed through multiple leadership roles, including Director of Well and Reservoir Management and Head of Strategy and Business Development.
Lars holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and before joining Fidelis founded Framing Energy ApS, a consultancy focused on major on- and offshore energy developments.
At Fidelis New Energy, Lars serves as Vice President of Project Delivery and Asset Management and is the President of Norne Climate Impact in Denmark.
